Somewhat Shorter David Brooks

From the New York Times:

You know what the real crisis with Social Security is? Working women.

You see, since feminism took root in the 1970s, women have elected to enter the work force after college instead of maternity. And too many of these women don't have kids later on.

Fewer live births means fewer workers. Fewer workers means fewer contributions to Social Security. Ergo, crisis.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what passes for conservative thought.
